If you need to press the smart entry button for a few times to unlock or lock your car door, there is a good chance that the smart entry key battery is weak. I just replaced mine yesterday and the smart key is as responsive when I got it new. Use a flat-head screwdriver and position it in the little notch and pry open the cover.
